Information Security Behavior

Background and Objectives

The health sector is one of the national critical information infrastructures. Health information has strategic value that must be protected well. The provision of healthcare services using digital technology also increases the vulnerability of health information to security breaches. Thus, good information security practices are necessary, not only to avoid the risk of financial loss but also for the sake of the continuation of patient’s life safety and healthcare services. The purpose of this study is to formulate an information security behavior model that is in line with information security practices in the health care organization. The research method will be used is a mixed method with an exploratory sequential design. Data will be collected in three hospitals as a healthcare service provider. Based on the literature search conducted by the author, there have been no previous studies on the analysis of information security behavior in Indonesian hospitals. This research is expected to make scientific and practical contributions in the application of information security to health service providers in Indonesia.
