The Information Management (IM) Lab was established in 2015. It inherits research topics from IT Governance and Enterprise Computing Labs. In the last ten years these two labs have given significant contribution on teaching and research in the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom). It also has given considerable impact on community engagement conducted by the Computer Science Centre (Pusilkom). This spirit is continued by the IM Lab to keep the synergy among the University of Indonesia’s three main activities called tri dharma, which consists of education, research, and community engagement.
In addition to studying IT governance and enterprise systems, the IM Lab brings expertise in the forthcoming topics. Examples are strategic management, IS/IT adoption, e-commerce, and e-health. The lab has strong collaborations with government and private institutions in Indonesia, as well as world-class research institutions abroad. These partnerships are essential to boost the IM Lab’s research quality. It is an essential foundation to advance the faculty’s learning processes and consultancy services.
Products of the IM Lab are course materials for various study programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The lab also conducts various trainings in IS/IT research methodology. Besides, it works closely with the Computer Science Centre providing IS/IT services in enterprise scale. Last but not least, the IM Lab is very productive in publishing international conference and journal papers.
